Memorial Day weekend 2015 is here, and we’ve put together a list of our top 10 picks for things to do in the Palm Springs area for the holiday weekend!
1. PALM SPRINGS AIR MUSEUM MEMORIAL DAY FLOWER DROP
Remember the reason for the season (er, holiday) and join in on the annual Memorial Day event and flower drop at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Monday, May 25. A vintage B-25 Bomber will drop 3,000 red and white carnations from the sky over the museum’s tarmac, with the flower drop serving to honor and memorialize all veterans who lost their life defending the United States. The white carnations are in honor of those who fought in WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam, and the red carnations are in honor of those who died in more recent conflicts including the Persian Gulf, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. More information here.
2. DREAMING OF NEW DIGS IN PALM SPRINGS? READY TO KICK OFF THE BBQ SEASON?
Paul Kaplan Group’s holiday weekend open houses will include ice cold beer, and you can enter to win a fancy Weber grill while you check out some awesome mid-century modern properties! Open house details here and contest info here!
