Grace Home Gallery in Palm Springs will host A Palm Springs Panopoly, the first West Coast exhibition of new works by New York-based artist Tug Rice, running from April 6 to May 1, 2018.

Working both with traditional watercolors and digitally, Rice’s work is endlessly inspired by Manhattan (he is an artist in residence at Ace Hotel New York) and its colorful cast of characters, and his new collection draws inspiration from Palm Springs scenes.

This is the first exhibit of contemporary artwork for the Grace Home Gallery, which is known for displaying modern photographers from the 1940s through the 1970s such as Slim Aarons and Bert Stern. The exhibit will run through May 13, 2018, and the artist will be present on Sunday, April 8, from 12pm-3pm. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am-6pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm.

Founded in 2017, the Grace Home Gallery is located at 1003 North Palm Canyon Drive, in the Uptown Design District of Palm Springs, adjacent to Grace Home Furnishings.

Michael Ostrow and Roger Stoker are the creative forces behind Grace Home Furnishings and the Grace Home Gallery. The duo founded their first showroom in Los Angeles in 2000, with the second showroom following in Palm Springs in 2014 and then the Gallery in 2017.
