A favorite of locals and visitors alike, family-owned and operated Las Casuelas Terraza is hosting its first “Fiesta de Tequila” this Sunday, Jan. 26, starting at 3:30 p.m. Though famous for their margaritas, in the words of general manager Patrick Service, “tequila is much more than the liquor you put into a margarita.” “Tequila shouldn’t be intimidating,” says Service. “While many tequila drinkers are only familiar with tequila margaritas, the subtleties and nuances of tequila can only be experienced with taste testing. We’d like to educate our guests to these differences – and to a selection from the 75 different brands available at Las Casuelas Terraza — at this event.”
The event will feature brands 1800 Tequila, a 100% blue agave tequila, Del Maguey, an artisanal Mezcal made in small villages near Oaxaca, and Casamigos, the new tequila created by George Clooney and Rande Gerber.
“Fiesta de Tequila” tickets are $25 per person, and include a presentation on tequila production, tequila tastings, and food pairings by Chef Chad Shaner, featuring smoked duck and sweet potato quesadillas, sangrita shrimp ceviche and Mexican chocolate bread pudding.
Palm Springs Style can’t wait to sip, nibble and learn. See you there!
