Just in time for the holidays, the many-hued hotspot that is the Saguaro Palm Springs has reopened its popular Tinto restaurant and added a beautiful new private event space dubbed the Palmetto Room. Following adjustments to the menu and the physical space, the new incarnation of Tinto still features Basque-style cuisine by Iron Chef Jose Garces, now with a larger variety of pintxo small plates, like Pulpo a la Gallega (Spanish octopus, potatoes, paprika) and Chicken Brochettes with garbanzo purée and truffle jus, along with an extensive wine list and a cocktail menu with highlights like a unique gin service priced at $95, featuring a 375 mL bottle of No. 209 Gin, accompanied by specialty tonic water and botanicals like sage and citrus zest for custom cocktail infusion.
Tinto’s space is now more intimate to allow for the addition of the adjacent Palmetto Room, which opens up to a patio featuring fire pits and lounge seating. The new space is perfect for private dinners, meetings, rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions, with an indoor-outdoor flow that is why so many folks love to bring their meetings and celebrations to Palm Springs. A few weeks ago Palm Springs Style had the opportunity to style an event to unveil the new Palmetto Room, featuring mini potted cacti, some great patterned napkins, an abundance of candlelight and a fun cake by Over the Rainbow. All of the furniture shown is included with the room rental (how great are those tables?!), making for a great value add.
Below is a classroom-style meeting room set-up in the same space. We love the idea of being able to hold your conference or presentation indoors, with refreshments or lunch breaks held on the adjacent patio.
