PALM SPRINGS WEDDING: COLORFUL WHIMSY AT THE VICEROY

KendraRobb4

We are absolutely smitten by this colorful and whimsical wedding at the Viceroy Palm Springs! The stylish couple, Kendra and Robb, enlisted the help of The Green Ribbon Party Planning Co. to design and coordinate a playful Palm Springs destination soiree for their guests, with photographer Annie McElwain on hand to capture stunning images of each moment and detail. We just love the eclectic invitations and paper goods by Posh Paperie combined with the bright florals by Brown Paper Design!

From the bride, Kendra: Robb and I have only lived in Los Angeles for a few years, so when we decided to get married in Southern California, we wanted to create an almost mini-destination wedding for our friends and family.  It was important to us to choose a location where our guests could spend the weekend together and not feel lost or excluded like in a larger hotel.  We were so touched at how many guests were able to join us – it felt like a reunion!  Anytime I walked through the Viceroy, I would run into guests relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Palm Springs weather.

From the bride, Kendra: One of my favorite memories from our wedding day is when I was waiting with my dad and heard the first few notes of Canon in D.  I have listened to that song so many times, but when I heard those notes this time, I suddenly I felt my arms tingling and my eyes watering!  When it was time to open the doors and walk through, my dad looked at me, told me he loved me and off we went.  I immediately made eye contact with Robb at the end of the aisle and felt a huge rush of emotions when it all hit me  – we are getting married!

From the couple: We would recommend to other couples that they look into hiring a wedding planner.  Even if you think you want to DIY the entire event, having an experienced wedding planner help you with the logistics, budgeting and organization will help you have time to enjoy all of the other fun details during the planning process – as well as stay relaxed on your wedding day!  Nicole from The Green Ribbon Party Planning Co. did an amazing job; she was able to take our ideas and dreams and turn them into reality.  Everything came together on our wedding day so seamlessly that we were able to relax and enjoy the day.  Also, we were so impressed and pleased with the staff at the Viceroy.  They truly made the weekend feel unique and special to us.
