Summertime Getaway at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage

If you’re looking for your next desert getaway or staycation destination, be sure to consider Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage. We headed to the resort to check it out this summer — here’s a look at our visit!

We made the quick trip from Palm Springs to Rancho Mirage and checked in to a guest room with killer views from the balcony, overlooking the expanse of the desert and the resort’s huge pool area below.

After settling in, we headed down to the pool area, where we enjoyed snacks and cocktails in a private cabana.

Poolside cocktails – so delish!

If you forgo the cabana, there are a ton of poolside chairs so you won’t have to fight for a spot to soak up the sun.

Next up was some (much-needed!) spa action. The resort’s Sunstone Spa is over 10,000 square feet, with great treatment rooms and common spaces, including a eucalyptus steam room, menthol sauna and private outdoor spa pool.

There are multiple restaurants and dining experiences at the property, including fine dining at the Steakhouse (SO good!!), more casual seated dining in Waters Café (loved their avocado toast and lobster roll) and the Three Palms Buffet.

There’s also poolside dining by the WetBar, coffee and snacks at Java Caliente, and fast-casual dining in the District, with ACE Deli, Jade (Asian cuisine), and La Olla (Mexican cuisine).

Before hitting the casino, we visited Pivat Cigar Lounge for a drink.

Pivat Cigar Lounge

The Pivat Old Fashioned is definitely a don’t-miss! It’s made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, orange bitters, muddled Luxardo cherries, served over a large ice block, and then it is infused with applewood smoke.

While we were in the casino we joined the ACE Club, which is the rewards program used by both Agua Caliente casino locations (Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs). You earn points while playing the slot machines, and then those points can be redeemed for food and shopping purchases at the resort, as well as free play on the slots. You also earn points on purchases made while on property; you just swipe your ACE Club card at the point of purchase, and then those points are added to your balance. It was so much fun playing the slots (especially Wheel of Fortune!) and blackjack, and we also checked out the Poker Room.

Another fun part of the resort is the awesome entertainment they feature at The Show. Upcoming shows include Steely Dan, Styx, Jim Gaffigan, J Balvin, and the one we’re REALLY excited about: Duran Duran on Sept. 5th!

We hope you get the chance to enjoy Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage soon!
