Modernism Week 2015 is just around the corner, and the Saguaro Palm Springs is kicking off their own lineup of Modernism Week events with the unveiling of designer Christopher Kennedy’s “Chill Lounge” in the lobby of the hotel on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6 – 8 p.m. Come check out the Chill Lounge, which will be open daily through Feb. 22, and meet the designer.
Harveys is bringing a pop-up shop to the Saguaro during Modernism Week, featuring gifts and accessories inspired by the colors and designs of the hotel. The pop-up will be open on both Fridays and Saturdays of Modernism Week (Friday, Feb. 13 & 20, 3 – 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 14 & 21, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.).
Enjoy free films under the stars at the Saguaro on both Fridays of Modernism Week (Friday, Feb. 13 & Friday, Feb. 20), with showings of Ray & Charles Eames films hosted by Harveys at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on both days.
On Monday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., Tinto restaurant at the Saguaro is hosting the Second Annual Shag Dinner with artist Josh Agle aka Shag. This intimate dinner will pair modern cuisine by Iron Chef Jose Garces with mod art, featuring five courses inspired by the work of Shag, along with hand-selected wine pairings. Each dinner guest will also receive a signed, limited edition print by Shag created exclusively for this event. Last year’s dinner sold out very quickly, so you will want to make your reservations now! $150 per guest, which includes tax and gratuity.
