Yolande and Jesse’s wedding at the Parker Palm Springs was the perfect combination of timeless, sophisticated glamour along with a touch of eclectic boho-chic injected by the Jonathan Adler-designed property. The couple wanted a wedding that was romantic, simple and fun, and this is exactly what their team of talented vendors delivered, led by the always-amazing Artisan Events team and captured by talented Palm Springs photographer Christine Arnold.

From the Bride, Yolande: I grew up vacationing in Palm Springs with my family as my grandparents had a house there. It has always held a special place in my heart so what better time to share that feeling with friends and family than at our wedding. Jesse went to college in the desert so he too was excited about having our wedding there. We wanted it to be a weekend where we all could relax and have a mini vacation. Palm Springs has it all and in November when it is starting to get cold everywhere else, the weather is perfect. It was important to us that our friends and family had fun and Palms Springs is a place where everyone can have fun. Plus the Parker is one of the most beautiful hotels, the grounds are gorgeous and the cheeky decor fits our personalities. We wanted a fun but also sophisticated vibe and the Parker manages to give you both.

Yolande & Jesse’s favorite moment on their wedding day: It would have to be the first time we saw each other before the ceremony. The big ‘reveal’ was so personal and private and we both were so nervous it was an intimate quiet moment where we could calm our nerves and just be with each other before taking our vows in front of our guests. For both of us, it made it that much more exciting to see each other and then know that moments later we would be saying our vows with everyone who mattered to us most there. Another favorite memory was how happy everyone was for us all weekend.  To see different people from different times in your life all come together to celebrate you is a really beautiful and moving thing and I remember just feeling so grateful and happy the whole weekend. We really could feel the love all around and we were so touched that so many people traveled to Palm Springs to celebrate with us.

From the Couple: As soon as the ceremony was over we had a mariachi band surprise the guests during the recessional. They led our guests into the cocktail portion of the evening and it really set the tone for the great party that would follow.

From the Couple: We were so lucky to work with a great team of people from all the people at the Parker who helped us (especially the Senior Sales Catering Manager, Keisha Hammond) to the fabulous folks at Artisan Events who made our day seamless and fabulous to our great photographer Christine Arnold. For a day that people think is so stressful, I really enjoyed every minute of it and that was all thanks to our family and friends, our venue and the people we worked with. It is all about having a good support team and going with the flow, so my advice is to get a great team behind you and the rest will fall into place. We were also lucky that we were able to get to the desert a few days early and stay a little later and that really helped us relax, have fun and spend quality time with our loved ones, nothing felt rushed because of those few extra days we had there.

Thank you to Yolande and Jesse and Christine Arnold for letting us share this beautiful wedding!
